PHOENIX -Desert Schools' FCU and the Arizona Cardinals have teamed up to help young football fans fulfill a dream to train with their sports heroes by sponsoring local football clinics. For one special day Cardinals' players and mascot “Big Red” will be on hand to direct each participant through a variety of sports stations set up to teach football-related skills in a non-contact (no tackling) environment. Each participant will receive a Cardinals hat and refreshments will be provided. So far four clinics have been held. “More than 100 young people are present at each clinic,” said Rondle K. Amstutz, vice president and chief information officer at Desert Schools. “We would like to offer more of these clinics and are using this event to strategically determine how best we can work with these sports entities to provide a special experience that is really distinct.”
