PASADENA, Calif. – Wescom Credit Union employees hosted a Christmas-themed party for 66 Hillsides' children at risk, ranging in age from 7 through 18. Children were delighted to visit with Santa Claus who presented each child and teen with personalized gifts, fulfilling one of their holiday wishes. The event also included balloon animals from Mrs. Claus, holiday desserts, a pizza lunch, and a viewing of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas." Wescom CU employees donated the children's' gifts from a list provided to them prior to the event by Hillsides' counseling staff. This community initiative is a combined effort of the credit union's employee-run charity, WeCare, and its community relations department.
