Wescom CU Purchases Insurance Agency

PASADENA, Calif. – Wescom Credit Union subsidiary Wescom Holdings, LLC, has acquired Hallmark Associates Insurance Services of Pico Rivera, California. “The acquisition allows Wescom to enhance its current line of product offerings to Wescom members to include: auto, homeowners, life and health insurance,” Wescom President/CEO Darren Williams said. “They are an established insurance agency with appointments with 90 top-name insurance carriers, including Mercury, Safeco and Travelers.” While terms of the acquisition are undisclosed Hallmark Founder Lyle Sandlin has been appointed the agency’s president and will report to Wescom CU Executive Vice President Jane Wood, who has been named the agency’s chief operating officer. Hallmark will continue operating from its existing facilities and plans are underway to eventually have representatives on hand in Wescom CU branches to help members with their insurance needs. The 17 year-old property and casualty insurance provider has 32 employees.
