ARLINGTON, Va. – Continuing with its plan to meeting with NASCUS state regulator members throughout the U.S. to further dialogue between them and the association, NASCUS President/CEO Mary Martha Fortney and Chairman Roger Little, Michigan Deputy Commissioner, met Dec. 1 in Nashville, Tenn. with regulators from six states. Topics discussed at the meeting included the latest information about UBIT, state taxation and the proposed FASB rule, and the FACT Act and provisions that became effective Dec. 1. Little also discussed with attendees NASCUS’ initiatives for the coming year. NASCUS plans to hold additional meetings with state regulators in the Mid-Atlantic states, the Midwest, the Northwest, and in the Southwestern portion of the country.
