ORLANDO, Fla.-NCUA Board Member Debbie Matz’ upcoming Partnering and Leadership Successes workshop slated for Feb. 8 in Orlando promises a wide variety of speakers on the subject of serving the entire field of membership. “How to Serve Everyone in Your Field of Membership” will feature CEOs from credit unions of various sizes from around the country discussing service to members beyond the workplace, targeting demographics, expanding into new markets, and partnership building. “Speakers at this PALS workshop will demonstrate how credit unions of all sizes and all charters can overcome their toughest challenge,” Matz stated. “While many credit union officials are working hard to reach everyone in their field of membership, they are finding it more difficult to deal with changing demographics and increasing competition.” To view the agenda or register for the free workshop visit www.ncua.gov and click on PALS Workshop Registration. “This workshop is a tremendous opportunity for participants to learn successful strategies from their peers,” Matz said. “If more credit unions employ these strategies, they could ultimately reverse a four-year trend of slow membership growth and turn record numbers of potential members into actual members.” The workshop will take place at the Caribe Royale All-Suites Resort & Convention Center and NCUA has contracted with the hotel for discounted room rates. The Orlando PALS workshop is being co-hosted by the Florida Credit Union League, Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, Alabama Credit Union League, Mississippi Credit Union System, NAFCU, and National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions.
