Patelco CU Member Wins First Prize in California, Nevada PAC Raffle

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – A member of Patelco Credit Union won first place in the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues’ annual PAC raffle. Two Wescom CU members won second and third prizes. Nancy Saelee, a member of Patelco’s Merced, Calif. branch, won $15,000 from a single $5 raffle ticket. Wescom CU member Gary Hamblen won $3,000 for second place, and Aniat Pena won $2,000 for third place. The winning tickets were drawn Nov. 17 during the Leagues’ Annual Meeting and Convention in Las Vegas. The PAC raffle raises funds for the Leagues’ federal political action committees. This was the first year the two leagues returned to a California- and Nevada-exclusive raffle, after taking part for the past two years in the CUNA National Sweepstakes. Patelco was the most active PAC raffle credit union, selling more than $11,000 in tickets in its branches. Wescom CU sold more than $3,500 in tickets to members and staff.
