LAS VEGAS – The CUNA Technology Council awarded Cardwell's Connections Online internal communications and organizational software with the Best of Show at the BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo in Las Vegas. "Cardwell hit all the criteria with this, including writing it with open standards and having it reasonably priced for credit unions," says Jim Morrell, the council's chairman. "We also really liked the way it can help integrate IT involvement with the rest of the credit union in the development of new products and services, which is something we're all finding to be more and more the reality for us at our own organizations," says Morrell, vice president of information systems at $282 million IQ Credit Union in Vancouver, Wash. Morrell and his council colleagues assessed the offerings of some 400 vendors at the big show, and named as the two other finalists document solutions specialist Bluepoint Solutions and anti-fraud vendor U.S. Biometrics, last year's best-of-show winner.
