SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Nothing like a message from home when you haven't seen home for a while. That's just what WesCorp and its Webcast partner CIA Studios have started to do for America's military personnel serving overseas. As part of its Operation Best Wishes program, WesCorp and CIA Studios are offering family members of the military access to their Web studios to send Web messages overseas. Some CUs are also offering up their facilities to broadcast the messages. The messages are complete with audio and video and are archived on www.operationbestwishes.com for people to access at any time. Operation Best Wishes kicked-off Nov. 20-21 with recording sessions at WesCorp in San Dimas, California, and North Island Financial Credit Union at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, California. The program has brought in some positive PR for credit unions. According to WesCorp, every TV station in the San Diego market mentioned "credit union" on their newscasts as part of their news coverage of Operation Best Wishes. The USA Radio Network also covered the event nationally.
