NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – South Carolina Federal Credit Union has recently donated $5,000 to the Florida Credit Union League (FCUL) to lend a helping hand to victims of the state's worst hurricane season in decades. In response to FCUL President/CEO Guy Hood's plea to the credit union community, S.C. Federal's board approved the $5,000 donation immediately. “On behalf of the affected victims that the FCUL Hurricane Relief Fund will assist, I would like to thank you for your very generous contribution to the fund,” wrote Hood in a thank-you letter to S.C. Federal. “Your contribution helps greatly our efforts to continue to provide immediate relief to those credit union employees and volunteers affected by these storms. One of the real strengths of the credit union movement is the ability to come together and assist the entire credit union family in a time of crisis.”
