GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Nassau County FCU is now able to serve all of Nassau County, N.Y. The $245 million credit union which has more than 27,000 members, received approval from the NCUA to adopt a community-based charter, effective immediately. NCFCU’s field-of-membership has included the employees of over 50 government and business entities in Nassau County, including Nassau County Community College and Nassau University Medical Center. The credit union’s new community charter gives it a potential FOM of 1.3 million. NCFCU currently has branches in Garden City, East Meadow and Syosset, and the credit union said it plans to open several new locations.
