DULUTH, Georgia – Georgia credit unions recently took center “page” in one of Georgia's most popular magazines – Georgia Trend. A four-page advertorial section, entitled “Georgia Credit Unions: Making the Difference for Our Members” was published in the magazine's October 2004 issue. Written by the Georgia Credit Union Affiliates Advocacy team, the article explains how credit unions serve their members and communities. Included are comments from members who have been helped by their credit unions in a variety of situations. The feature also provides statistics on Georgia credit unions, as well as contact information for business leaders interested in learning more about them. “Credit unions have a great story to tell,” said GCUA Senior Vice President Advocacy Cindy Connelly. “We believe it was important to share this story with Georgia business leaders and legislators through Georgia Trend to show how credit unions make a difference in their members' lives everyday.” Georgia Trend magazine, published in Atlanta, covers Georgia business and politics, and has a readership of more than 167,000 readers including business leaders and legislators.
