According to the Center for Responsive Politics, based on Federal Election Commission data filed Nov. 2, 2004, CULAC had receipts totaling $3,021,183 and had spent $2,994,444. Contributions to federal candidates totaled $1,775,780 with 58% going to Republicans and 42% to Democrats. CRP also said NAFCU/PAC had taken in $324,423 as of Nov. 2 reports and spent $279,997. NAFCU/PAC contributions to candidates came to $240,800 with 52% going to Republicans and 48% to Democrats. Now with Republicans holding an even bigger edge in Congress, the contributions may start to lean even more to the GOP.
