NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – With financial literacy a key initiative, the Michigan Credit Union League Family Involvement Council has released a new guide on launching in-school branches. The free downloadable Credit Union School Branch Handbook is a 56-page manual designed to offer insight into many of the regulatory, marketing, and logistical issues involved in establishing a school branch. Available on the FIC's Web site at www.fic.mcul.org, the guide includes sample letters and forms. "There is a significant need among credit unions for this kind of resource. We're very pleased we can make this Handbook available to credit unions all around the country," said handbook co-author and Royal Oakland Community CU Education Specialist Rose Evers who has overseen ROCCU's two high school student branches for 10 years.
