MADISON, Wis. – The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council is on the lookout for a few outstanding Marketing and Business Development professionals of the year. Nominations for Business Development Professional of the Year and Marketing Professional of the Year will be accepted until Dec. 10. Winners will be announced at the 2005 CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Conference March 16-19 in Palm Springs, Calif. The business development award goes to individuals who exemplify excellence in credit union business development, including growth of credit union membership and focus on the ideals of the credit union movement. Award selection is based on: *Business development as a factor in their credit union’s success; *The fostering of the success of the credit union movement; and *Enhancement of their community through organizational involvement/activism. The marketing award recognizes the industry professional who has achieved new heights in credit union marketing, while keeping in mind the founding principles of the movement. This award is based on: *Marketing as a factor in the winner’s credit union’s success; *Marketing as a management function; *Fostering the success of the credit union movement: and *Enhancing the community through organizational involvement/activism.
