BROCKTON, Mass. – Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), ranking minority member of the House Financial Services Committee, recently endorsed HarborOne CU's sponsorship of "The Presidential Election 2004″ newspaper supplement. The 16-page "Presidential Election 2004″ supplement was initially developed by the Enterprise and Patriot Ledger through its "Newspapers in Education" program. HarborOne agreed to sponsor it and also to make it available at no charge to the public at all its branches. Speaking with the credit union's president/CEO James Blake, Frank commended HarborOne for its civic spirit, saying "Credit unions have long been leaders in financial democracy, so it is very appropriate for HarborOne to be taking such an active role in promoting electoral democracy as well."
