RALEIGH, N.C. – Local Government Federal Credit Union has launched a new Web site, featuring a new design that emphasizes local ties and content management systems intended to enhance member service. The new site – www.lgfcu.org – is the result of several months of working closely with Cambium Group, a Web-site development firm based in Montpelier, Vt. Highlights include a “brochure stand” where members can select brochures in PDF format, quick-search branch and ATM locators, and utilize an online Web library that will continue to build a database of knowledge for the credit union and its members. Meanwhile, the design itself includes no stock photography, only shots of North Carolina locations and people, including member photos and profiles. “We wanted to make a spectacular statement about the membership culture of Local Government Federal Credit Union. The outcome is a Web site that demonstrates functional as well as visual distinction,” said Maurice Smith, president of $534 million LGFCU.
