MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Consumers in the Memphis area on Sept. 25 who are considering purchasing a car may want to a free car buying seminar Memphis Area Teachers' CU is sponsoring that day entitled "Understanding Car Buying." The event, which is open to the public, will be held at the Holiday Inn from 10 a.m.-noon. The CU says the seminar will give attendees hands-on information that will make sense out of car buying. Topics that will be covered include: secrets of the auto industry, how your credit score affects your auto purchase, and tips and tools that can help determine a fair price for a new or used auto. Speakers at the seminar will include MATCU Chief Financial Officer Fred Rauch, and VP of Lending Ken Newberry.
