MADISON, Wis. – CUNA Mutual said it plans to donate $100,000 toward building Madison's first public swimming pool. Madison is home to CUNA Mutual Group as well as CUNA and is often dubbed the capital of the credit union industry. The donation will be given through the CUNA Mutual Group Foundation. The location for the pool is not yet known, but one goal is for it to be available to at-risk children. "A facility like this will obviously benefit all children in a neighborhood, but it will especially be beneficial to those kids who couldn't otherwise afford to enjoy such a recreational outlet," said Steve Goldberg, executive director of CUNA Mutual's Foundation. The total cost of the pool is expected to be $3.2 million.
