LATHAM, N.Y. – A half a million dollars and counting. The New York State Credit Union League and credit unions throughout the state have awarded over $510,000 in scholarships to young members who graduated high school this year. Recipients were selected based on their outstanding academic, leadership and extracurricular achievements. "Credit unions belong to their communities," said NYSCUL President/CEO William J. Mellin. "These scholarships are a reflection of credit unions' commitment to young members in those communities."
