SAN ANTONIO – Information technology security firm Digital Defense has named Larry Hurtado its new president and COO. Hurtado has been with the firm since 2002. He is a former president of International Operations for Elastic Networks, Inc., a firm he co-founded. Digital Defense now has 230 clients, mostly credit unions. The firm's growth has moved in step with credit unions' growing need to secure systems. Its subscription-based vulnerability management service, Frontline, has been popular among credit unions. Joe Cooper, a founder of Digital Defense, remains CEO of the company.
