GLATONBURY, Conn. – Hawaii Impulse Systems (HIS) will soon be serving its 41 credit unions with The Complete Credit Union Solution core technology platform from Open Solutions Inc. The first to convert to the OSI system will be $430 million Hickam FCU, the state's third largest. The CUSO plans to have all 41 CUs operating on the OSI platform through the HIS data center by the end of next year. "By employing a flexible, open technology platform, we spend less money and gain more processing power for internal use and for our member credit unions," says Gerald Takase, HIS president. The CUSO also will deploy several other OSI products, including ATM/debit card processing, a CRM dynamic messaging solution, collections processing, interactive voice response, mortgage origination software and document imaging. The contract win means more than a third of Hawaii's credit unions will be on the OSI platform. USERS Inc. claims a similar proportion of the state's CU market for data processing.
