A member of the House Budget, Armed Services, and Small Business committees, Franks was given a copy of H.R. 3579, the Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act (CURIA), and the credit union’s president Tom Shipe and chairman Jim Dehart presented Franks with information regarding the credit union difference.
