SUN CITY WEST, Ariz. – Congressman Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) recently toured Sun County CU in Sun City West, Ariz., where he met with about 30 credit union members, the CU's volunteer board and staff. A member of the House Budget, Armed Services, and Small Business committees, Franks was given a copy of H.R. 3579, the Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act (CURIA), and the credit union's president Tom Shipe and chairman Jim Dehart presented Franks with information regarding the credit union difference. Franks told attendees he intended to review all the documents he received. Taking a few moments to address attendees, Franks encouraged them to vote in the upcoming election in November.
