SALEM, Ore. – Marion and Polk Schools Credit Union Human Resources Generalist Barbara Cecil has recently earned her national designation as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management. The PHR exam requires in-depth knowledge of all areas of human resource management. Candidates must not only pass the examination but also document practical exempt-level HR work experience to be eligible for the examination. “Human Resources is the foundation for ensuring that we have the right tools for the tasks at hand,” said Cecil. “Matching employee qualifications to the needs of our organization and our members directly impacts member service.” In her 17 years at the credit union Cecil has served as a member services representative, executive assistant to the president, HR specialist, and HR generalist. “We are very proud of Barbara’s accomplishments and the depth of knowledge that she brings to the MaPS organization,” said MaPS CU HR Director Lori Hilfiker.
