SAN DIEGO – California Coast Credit Union and other local credit unions are urging members and staffers alike to donate blood to honor the memory of 9/11 victims. The second annual San Diego Blood Bank's 11 Days of Remembrance blood drive will run from September 1 -11. Last year's efforts generated more than 500 pints of blood to boost dwindling supplies and organizers are optimistic that this year's campaign will reach 1,000 pints.
