LA HABRA, Calif. – American First CU, which serves the members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) local 441, has partnered with Fannie Mae to create home rental and buying assistance and financial education for apprentice program participants of IBEW local 441 and 440, the Ironworkers Union 416, and the National Electrical Contractors Association Orange County chapter. The partnership between the AFCU and the housing Government-Sponsored Enterprise is designed to help local IBEW-NECA members afford the rental or purchase of a home in Orange County's high-cost housing market. As part of the program, AFCU is providing customized home loan programs with competitive interest rates and flexible terms for all qualifying IBEW-NECA members. The credit union is also facilitating educational programs to provide financial literacy information to help IBEW-NECA members afford housing close to where they work.
