BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – CU Lending, a mortgage lending service of the Alabama Credit Union League, has developed a new Internet mortgage loan application process that allows members to check and track the latest mortgage rates available as they're updated daily. The new service, which is available to all Alabama League-affiliated CUs, also allows members to apply for a mortgage online with instant approval, provides accurate estimates of the costs expected and closing, and tracking ability of the loan 24 hours a day. The Web site also provides easy to understand explanations of the variety of mortgage loans available to members, and provides mortgage calculators to find the loan type that best suits a member's needs. For members' convenience, credit unions can put the mortgage link on their Web sites.
