ACB’s Mission Possible 2: Delivering the Message About Credit Unions brochure was recently sent out to members, the group said in its Washington Perspective newsletter. The pamphlet advocates that their members set up meetings with their legislative representatives to discuss the credit union tax exemption and includes ideas for organizing grassroots efforts. The banking lobby group had previously distributed Mission Possible: Uncovering the Truth About Credit Unions, which it calls an “educational brochure” in its newsletter. According to Washington Perspective, the document includes “factual information about the unbridled expansion of credit unions and their tax-exemptions’ cost to taxpayers.” The group also recommended that the first publication be shared with lawmakers and the media, as well as using the information in speeches.
