LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Virginia Credit Union League has launched its "My Credit Union is Me" campaign designed to educate lawmakers and mobilize members to stave off bankers' attacks on credit unions. As part of the campaign, the League is providing credit unions with resources to use to get their members involved with educating lawmakers about the credit union difference and urging state and federal lawmakers to protect CU members by protecting credit unions' tax exemption. VCUL is mailing special packets of information to all credit unions in Virginia and the District of Columbia that contain a sampling of resources available to them through the campaign such as a specially-branded Web site – www.mycuisme.com – designed to facilitate member and CU correspondence with elected officials.
