DENVER – Bellco CU and Bethpage FCU formed their Open Technology Solutions CUSO to try and get more out of their core processing system from Open Solutions Inc. by sharing technical expertise and resources – now the two have agreed to share with OSI itself. OSI is now a part owner in the CUSO. Mike Atkins, COO for the CUSO said brining OSI on as an owner makes a tight relationship between the two organizations even tighter and will help development down the road. OSI, which has been doing its share of acquisitions since going public, said joining the CUSO will help it expand its reach into the credit union marketplace. At press time, there was no word from the CUSO on if they plan on taking on other owners.
