BEREA, Ky. – The $15 million Appalachian Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Berea, will open a new branch in Monticello, Kentucky, on August 25th. The new branch will serve people who live in Clinton, Wayne and McCreary counties. The credit union credited grants from the National Credit Union Foundation, the Kentucky Highlands Investment Corp. and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Invited guests and speakers at the opening include county officials and local business representatives along with representatives from each of the grantmakers.
