ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NCUA has added another Partnering and Leadership Success Conference to its calendar, this one focusing specifically on serving underserved communities without losing money. The October 11 conference will he held in Rochester, New York and is sponsored by the $329 million Summit FCU which is headquartered in Rochester, along with the New York Credit Union League and the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions as well as the NCUA. The PALS conference will address risk based lending and the underserved, payday loan alternative products, financial education, micro-business lending, affordable mortgage lending, income tax assistance, and international remittances.
