DULUTH, Ga. – Georgia Central Credit Union is taking its online line participation Web site, MemberMatch, nationwide. Previously, MemberMatch (www.membermatch.com) was only available for Georgia credit unions. MemberMatch is designed to connect credit unions interested in either buying or selling loans. The site stores data about loan participation pools that are available, as well as what buyers are looking for. Purchasing credit unions can even sign up to be automatically notified when a pool of loans is posted matching their needs. “We had our first out-of-state posting recently, and it drove home the point that MemberMatch is something that would be useful to any credit union; the larger the population of users, the better the choices we’re providing to all credit unions,” said Georgia Central President/CEO Greg Moore. It’s a good time for credit unions to give the product a try as Georgia Central is offering it free until the end of the year. After which time, it will roll out a fee schedule.
