RIDGECREST, Calif. – AltaOne FCU, together with three area auto dealerships, has made a $20,000 donation in support of the China Lake Defense Alliance (CLDA) with their Base Realignment And Closure (BRAC) 2005 efforts for the China Lake naval base. Phil Arnold, co-chairman of the China Lake Defense Alliance said the contribution will be used to get the message out to decision makers in Washington, D.C. “of the importance China Lake plays in our country’s defense role as well as the assets of this area.” AltaOne President/CEO Robert Boland commented that the China Lake naval base “plays a very significant role in our economy and future growth.” CLDA has raised approximately $75,000 from businesses and individual contributors from Oct. 2003 – June 2004. AltaOne FCU has more than 38,000 members and $400 million in assets.
