WESTBROOK, Me. – In what appears to be a healthy outcome for both Insurance Services FCU (ISFCU) and Medical Services FCU (MSFCU), the merger of the two entities was recently completed. Going forward, both CUs will operate under the MSFCU name. ISFCU members-primarily the employees of UnumProvident Corporation and their families-overwhelmingly approved the merger with MSFCU at the end of April, citing their desire for increased technology, greater ATM access, and additional products and services. The merger will increase MSFCU's total assets to more than $51 million and membership to 10,650-up from $44.6 million and 8,226 members. MSFCU has been serving members of the medical profession in the Greater Portland area since 1955.
