SAN ANTONIO – After a five-month long renovation San Antonio Federal Credit Union (SACU) has celebrated the grand re-opening of its remodeled Windsor Branch. “The concept for the remodeling is to make SACU a `home away from home’ for members,” SACU President/CEO Jeff Farver. “Every change is aimed at making members feel comfortable walking into SACU. We want their visit to conduct financial business to be a `peak’ experience.” The SACU experience kicks off with a meeter/greeter to welcome visitors and help them find services or help them with the Internet Caf. A new audio system offers members the opportunity to educate themselves while they’re transacting business at SACU. A self-serve coin counter will provide members a receipt that they can deposit to an account or convert into cash. To create an inviting space the waiting area is filled with comfortable chairs and couches, and a four-sided activity center makes children welcome. Even the office furniture in a “P” shape accommodates family groups who may come together to conduct business. The re-designed lobby also includes arches and soft lines, removing hard angles, and a dcor with soft earth tones and sea-foam greens. Outside, colorful landscaping and benches invite members to enjoy the day in San Antonio. Technological innovations include state-of-the-art remote teller services provided along with live tellers, so members have a choice in delivery methods. An Internet Caf offers members the option of learning about Internet banking or submitting loan applications online, for prompt decisioning and funding. In addition, new flat-screen computer monitors allow an SACU representative to turn the screen toward members so they can be part of the business being transacted. Even the drive-up tellers are interactive with two-way monitors, so members can talk face-to-face with the SACU employee helping them. “Our branch atmosphere incorporates a flavor unique to San Antonio, with its multi-cultural population,” said Farver. “SACU is a family affair; families are our business. We will remodel additional SACU branches over the coming months, incorporating high-tech service delivery with high-touch approach to meeting members.”
