CANTON, Mich. – To commemorate its new North Canton branch and demonstrate its commitment to supporting the community, DFCU Financial has donated $10,000 to the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Education Excellence Foundation. “The successful opening of this branch not only marks a step in our growth, but it also affirms our partnership with both the businesses and residents of this community,” said DFCU Financial President/CEO Mark Shobe. “In all of the communities we serve, our primary community outreach efforts focus on education. We recognize that a sound education is the best way we can help young people reach their potential as responsible adults, and that good financial education helps them become responsible borrowers and savers.” The Canton branch is the first new branch DFCU Financial has opened since launching its new name in early 2003. The 6,500-square-foot full-service branch was custom designed to provide DFCU Financial members with the best possible experience as they do their banking. It features a welcoming “community” theme and will serve as a model for all future newly constructed branches for DFCU Financial.
