MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union has raised over $6,000 for the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation and the National Credit Union Foundation during its 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Hershey Golf Club in Hershey, Pa. Over 100 golfers participated in this year's event. The donated funds will help the foundations assist: *Disaster victims with relief and rehabilitation grants from credit unions *New members with the expansion of credit union services in impoverished areas *Members of low income credit unions *Consumers through education about the advantages of credit union services *Credit union staff in need of education and training. In addition, the foundations work to help people become financially independent and secure, by promoting good financial management skills. "The golf tournament is an excellent opportunity to generate funds for the national and state level Foundations," said Ed Fox, president/CEO of Mid-Atlantic Corporate FCU. "The support of our tournament participants and the tournament sponsors is greatly appreciated."
