CME Federal Credit Union, Columbus, Ohio, former board director Carl Spaeth has died at the age of 78. During his 32-year tenure on the board, Spaeth served in a variety of leadership roles including five terms as board chairman. Spaeth retired from the Columbus Division of Fire after 33 years of service, having attained the rank of Battalion Chief. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II and the Korean War. Spaeth is survived by his wife, Patricia, and his son Randy.
