NEW YORK – Peter Duffy, a senior vice president with Keefe, Bruyette and Woods is leaving the firm headquartered in New York City. Duffy declined to name the new company because some of the details had yet been finalized but said he expected there would be a formal announcement in the next two weeks. "Even though I am leaving KBW I wanted to make it clear that KBW is a great firm with some great staff," Duffy said. He attributed his leaving the organization to some lingering management conflicts. During his tenure at KBW, Duffy led the firm's effort to reach out to credit unions with investment, consultation and other financial services. He has been a leading advocate of credit unions being able to change their charters to those of mutual banks.
