PHOENIX – Newtek Business Services recently announced its completed acquisition of CrystalTech Web Hosting Inc., which provides Web hosting and now, small business loans, credit card processing and tax services to its clients. According to Tim Uzzanti, CrystalTech’s CEO, the acquisition affords both principals the ability to co-market products and services to a much wider audience. “With the financial services that Newtek offers, we will be able to provide a feature set that is unmatched in the hosting industry and build upon our reputation for service, support and reliability. In return, Newtek has the ability to provide their own existing customer base, which consists almost entirely of small to medium sized businesses.” While both sides are eager to cross-market products and services, they reiterate the fact that neither company will see a drastic change in their focus or business plan. “While we were acquired, nothing is actually changing,” Uzzanti said. “We are just in a better position to bring the products and services CrystalTech offers to a wider variety of customers.” Newtek Small Business Finance is a subsidiary of Newtek Business Services and counts CUNA among its partnerships.
