Among the dozens of side events that will be held during the NAFCU Annual Conference and Exhibition in Vancouver, B.C., will be the annual sales meeting for the Credit Union Times advertising representatives. These are the men and women who continue to sell record amounts of display advertising for every issue of this publication which in turn makes it possible for us to publish the largest editorial content of any CU publication. Not surprising, although all are independent contractors, all five ad reps have an intimate knowledge of the credit union marketplace. Once a year they come together from their offices located strategically around the country to meet with veteran staff member and Advertising Manager Laurie Sorrentino to map out their ad sales strategy and to set new goals for the next year. Each year their goals are raised. Each year for the last seven years they have exceeded them. Under Laurie's direction, this is also the time they collectively explore ways to give our growing advertiser base more bang for their ad dollars, do a competitive analysis, and develop promotional materials for the next year's ad sales campaign. They play a very important role in the ongoing success Credit Union Times enjoys. Naturally we are quite proud of them. If you care to see what they look like and learn a bit more about them, take a look at these mini profiles. Obviously we think they are special people! [email protected]
