CINCINATTI – The ATM Exchange, a leading ATM refurbishing firm, has won VISA approval for its 3DESP PLUS, a package which it says will enable ATMs manufactured by either Diebold or NCR to be refurbished to meet VISA's encryption standards. Approval by Visa means that ATM owners may select 3DES PLUS as their Triple DES security solution knowing that 3DES PLUS will conform with all applicable Visa global ATM network and PIN entry device security operating requirements, the company said. "Ensuring ATM security and making sure that all PINs are properly protected using Triple DES in accordance to international standards is a top priority to Visa and its members, and we are thrilled that we measure up to the toughest encryption standards in the ATM industry," says Dave Parlin, president of The ATM Exchange. "Obtaining Visa's approval is important to our customers, the banks and ATM servicers, as well as the regional electronic funds transfer (EFT) processors who are eager to retain their installed base of ATMs."
