WASHINGTON – Association of Corporate Credit Unions Executive Director Mike Canning has earned the American Society of Association Executives' Certified Association Executive designation. Canning was given hours of association training and had to pass a final exam to earn the designation. According to ASAE, 21.5% of all eligible ASAE members hold the CAE designation, approximately 3,000 association executives are CAEs, and 56% of all CAEs are CEOs. Canning said he went through the program in an effort to elevate the professionalism of the ACCU. He said other ACCU staffers are also working on other training programs and accreditations.
