ARLINGTON, Va.-NAFCU Chair Diane Furnas and the other three members of NAFCU's executive committee were re-elected to their positions for the 2004-05 term. Furnas, who is the president of Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union in Dallas, is serving her second one-year term as chair of the association. "After serving as vice chair for three years, I was honored to have been chosen to lead NAFCU for the past year and feel equally honored and excited to have an additional opportunity to be NAFCU's chair for the upcoming year," she commented. Furnas was first elected to the NAFCU Board in 1998, the same year she was recognized by NAFCU as "Professional of the Year." She has also chaired the NAFCU Services Corporation. Furnas has a 30-year history in credit unions, serving 27 of those at the helm of Southwest Airlines FCU. Additionally, The Summit Federal Credit Union President Michael S. Vadala was re-elected to the vice chair position. Xerox Federal Credit Union President Bill Cheney won re-election to the secretary slot and Campus Federal Credit Union President John W. Milazzo was re-elected to his third term as treasurer.
