NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois Credit Union Foundation kicked off its new International Credit Union Development Program with a $100,000 contribution to help Ukrainian farmers buy tractors. The International Credit Union Development Program allows donors to make contributions to the Foundation that can be specifically designated for a particular purpose such as helping people in a particular country gain access to CU services or assist credit unions in other countries to obtain technology and equipment to better serve their members. The ICU Foundation's first opportunity to use the new program to provide an international grant was in partnership with Selfreliance Ukrainian American FCU (SUAFCU), the Ukrainian National Association of Savings and Credit Unions (UNASCU), and the Ukrainian Corporate Central Credit Union.
