SAN FRANCISCO – Diana Dykstra, president and chief executive officer at CoastHills Federal Credit Union in Lompoc, Calif., has been named president and CEO of San Francisco Fire Credit Union. Dykstra will replace John L. Rebholtz, who is scheduled to retire July 15. Dykstra, chairman-elect of the California Credit Union League, previously served in executive positions at Patelco Credit Union in San Francisco and at the Golden 1 Credit Union. In moving over to San Francisco Fire CU, Dykstra will be taking over the corner office at a credit union that has less than half the number of members than CoastHills FCU – formerly known as Vandenberg FCU. San Francisco Fire CU, started in 1951 in a fire station in the city, has about 18,000 members and $342 million in assets. CoastHills FCU has more than 45,000 members and some $409 million in assets. Dykstra is board chairman of Credit Union Direct Lending, a system she developed while at The Golden 1, and Prime Alliance Solutions. In addition to her league activities, she has served on the boards of Career Connections, Inc., the International Credit Association and the CUNA Lending Council Executive Committee. A 1992 graduate of the Western CUNA Management School, Dykstra is now a faculty member there. In 2001, she received the James D. Likens Alumni Recognition Award for her credit union activities and service. She also received the Distinguished Service Award at the California Credit Union League`s annual meeting in 2002.
