WASHINGTON-Consulting firm start-up Dollar Associates, LLC, has signed on with Strunk & Associates as a special consultant and alliance partner. “Credit unions represent a large part of our client base and Dollar Associates brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the credit union industry. The Dollar Associates team will strengthen our regulatory compliance initiatives as well as our product marketability to credit unions,” Strunk & Associates Chairman William H. Strunk said. Strunk is well known for its bounce protection programs. “Strunk is a recognized leader in providing one of the best received member services offered by credit unions today. A well-run overdraft privilege program such as Strunk’s sets the standard in both its regulatory compliance aspects and its best practices approach,” Dollar Associates Principal Partner Dennis Dollar says. Dollar Associates will provide regulator compliance, product development, and product marketing support for Strunk’s Overdraft Privilegesm Service Program. Dollar added, “A number of our credit union clients are working with Strunk on overdraft privilege and others are moving in that direction to help serve their members better and improve their bottom lines.” Dollar Associates is a credit union consulting and governmental affairs partnership formed by former NCUA Chairman Dennis Dollar and his former Chief of Staff Kirk Cuevas after they left the agency April 30. Cuevas told Credit Union Times that the new partnership now has several credit union clients it is doing consulting work for, from regulatory issues to field of membership. “We’re a month into it and we couldn’t be more pleased,” he stated.
