AVON, Conn. – In the wake of Check 21, COCC says it has arranged for the Endpoint Exchange Network and the National Clearing House (NCHA) to provide electronic clearing and settlement services through COCC’s check-imaging facilities. Under the agreement, COCC’s nearly 100 credit union and bank clients will be able to use the services of all three organizations for nationwide check-image exchange and settlement. Endpoint Exchange is owned and operated by Oklahoma City-based CheckClear LLC, while Connecticut Online Computer Center (COCC) is a client-owned core processor and the NCHA is a national association of member financial institutions. “COCC’s agreements with CheckClear and the National Clearing House are strategic components that will usher in the era of check truncation and image exchange for our client institutions,” said Richard A. Leone, COCC president and CEO.
