It includes the following: *ID Theft-Checklist of Credit Union Responsibilities, outlining what the CU's responsibility is for fighting ID theft, *Links to member education brochures that offer best practices to help members avoid becoming victims, as well as a brochure telling members what to do if they do become a victim, *An "ID Theft Affidavit " victims can use to send to credit bureaus and financials where they have been victimized, *A Federal Trade Commission brochure, " When Bad Things Happen to Your Good Name," a primary resource for ID theft victims, *A BITS Financial Services Roundtable white paper on financials' responsibilities with ID theft, *Links to ID theft videos from the U.S. Postal Service, FTC and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, *Information about seminars and training to help credit unions prevent ID theft, including a Webinar CUNA has scheduled for August.
